Biography

Ahmad Syauqy, S.Gz., M.P.H., Ph.D., Dietitian began his academic journey with a Diploma III in Nutrition at the Department of Nutrition, Bandung Health Polytechnic (Poltekkes Bandung) from 2003 to 2006. Born in Jakarta, Indonesia, he continued his undergraduate studies in Nutrition at the Department of Nutrition, Universitas Esa Unggul (UEU) from 2006 to 2008. He subsequently pursued a Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) with a concentration in Clinical Nutrition at the Graduate Program in Public Health, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), completing his degree in 2011. Driven by a strong interest in nutrition research and public health, he earned his Ph.D. from the School of Nutrition and Health Sciences, Taipei Medical University (TMU), Taiwan, between 2016 and 2019. His doctoral studies were supported by the Indonesian Endowment Fund for Education and the Overseas Indonesian Lecturer Excellence Scholarship (LPDP/BUDI LN). In 2024, he completed the Professional Dietitian Program at UGM and obtained the title of Registered Dietitian. Professionally, Dr. Syauqy has accumulated extensive experience in both clinical practice and academia. He worked as a Nutritionist at Jakarta Islamic Hospital Cempaka Putih (RSIJ Cempaka Putih) from 2006 to 2009. He then served as a lecturer in the Department of Nutrition at Tasikmalaya Health Polytechnic, Ministry of Health (Poltekkes Kemenkes Tasikmalaya) from 2010 to 2011. In addition, he worked as a Nutrition Consultant for mining companies in Kalimantan from 2009 to 2015, providing expertise in nutrition and occupational health. Beyond his professional and academic roles, Dr. Syauqy is actively involved in professional organizations. He has contributed to the leadership and development of the Indonesian Dietetic Association (PP ASDI) and the Central Java Branch of the Indonesian Nutrition Association (DPP PERSAGI Jawa Tengah), reflecting his commitment to advancing the nutrition and dietetics profession in Indonesia.
